Princess Party Menu Tips

Tips for a Fabulous Princess Birthday Party Menu

Your little princess has invited the belles of the ball to what you hope will be the finest Princess Birthday Party of the year. You’ve purchased decorations, planned a few games and have some lovely little take home favors for your little guests. Now it’s time to plan the finest party menu for your royal princess and her royal court.

Let’s make it so fabulous that the girls will remember this day when they’re planning their future daughter’s parties and one that will make your princess throw her hands around your neck and say, “Oh Mommy! You’re the best ever!”

Here are 5 tips for creating a memorable Princess Party Menu for your princess birthday party.

1. Keep it creatively simple. The last thing you need on a busy day is to be running around like crazy trying to make cherries flambé or tiramisu with crème fraise for your princess party menu. However, with a little creative planning, you can make something spectacular and still have time to enjoy all the fun with your little guests.   Just keep it simple!

2. Presentation is everything.  A peanut butter sandwich is fine for everyday, but for a Princess Birthday Party? Absolutely, when you do something fabulous with it -  Make the sandwich and then use cookie cutters to cut it into  various shapes like hearts or daisies and you have something spectacular. Even just cutting the sandwiches with a glass into a circle and then cutting the circles in half would work. Display them elegantly on a pretty glass plate with some red grapes, strawberries or edible flowers and it’s no longer just a boring peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but a delicacy that’s a delight to look at AND eat.  Sure to make any little girl feel like a princess!

3. Throw the “no sugar” rule out the window. Just for this one special day. Your princess only has a birthday once a year, and its not everyday little girls go to a princess party, so break the rules on this special day and serve something sweet to eat. Balance it out with a lower sugar drink and other yummies that aren’t heavy on the sugar and its all good.

4. Let them drink pink! Pink lemonade, pink Kool-Aid, pink soda or raspberry ginger ail… anything pink in a clear plastic cup will be perfect for the princess party menu. Float half a strawberry in the cup to make it seem super-fancy and your little guests will be delighted. You’ll be known as the coolest mom who throws the BEST parties.

5. Stay Organized. Create  a timeline and schedule for the day of the party. Make a checklist of what you’ll be serving,  when you need to pull it out of the freezer or fridge, what goes where,  and how everything will take. This will ensure you won’t forget any of the delicious details. You don’t want to open the fridge for a late night snack after your princess is in dreamland at the end of her soiree and find the strawberries you forgot put in the royal goblets.

Planning a perfect princess birthday party with the perfect Princess party menu can be easy and stress free. Just keep the menu simple but tasty, then use creativity to make it look “fancy” and pink! Write out a checklist and you’re all set for the finest princess party menu befitting of your special little princess and her royal maidens.
